HI BOB. I went to Berklee with you in the 90s. I also play out of the Klose book to this day, only I have a good number of them I do in 12 keys as well. Also highly recommend ALL of the Marcel Mule books, the French school of saxophone playing cannot go ignored.

Bird is so down to earth, he's not even debatable. Sure, he put in hours of practice and study, but he came out with something that was the work of some kind of superior entity.

If Snarky Puppy could get a collective PhD in performing arts, this album would be their dissertation paper.

Low register is pure gold, and It seems to "sing" a little bit more in the middle/high register than the hard rubber one.. and the articulation seems a little bit more accurate (is it possible..?), seems that the airflow hits the reed instantly, with ease.. IMHO Thanks Bob for all of these, so inspiring.

Seriously you sound killing on that metal Link. Just a side note on the mouthpiece situation - you've gotten so used to your old piece, but now you're beginning to open up to different possibilities you never knew you could have. In any case, glad to know you're having fun with it somehow.

This is a great explanation of the subtle genius of Frank Sinatra.

I believe that Sinatra had an ear that could place any note in ANY part of the bar, microscopically. There was nothing he didn’t understand about rhythm.

This was the first Sinatra album I ever bought, I was being economical and wanted the album with the most songs on it. Eventually I collected all of his albums but this is still one of my favorites. Sinatra with a straight up jazz big band is as good as it gets.

Hi Bob. I have always found that the standard Otto Link lig is the main issue. It’s actually dreadful. Try anything else that fits and it makes the Link a totally different animal. Wimslow ligs work great if you can get hold of one, but honestly anything that holds the reed is an improvement! Best wishes.
